Byron L. Ames
Managing Partner
Byron is a Managing Partner in the Firm and is responsible for management of the Firm's Nevada and Utah offices. His practice includes all phases of general litigation and transactional work, with an emphasis in the transportation, hospitality and construction industries.
Byron Ames also currently serves as the part-time mayor for the City of Francis where he lives with his family. Mr. Ames previously was a Partner in a mid-sized Western-Regional law firm where he managed that firm's Las Vegas, NV and Salt Lake City, UT offices. Mr. Ames was also an Intern at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington. Mr. Ames now handles cases in state and federal courts in Nevada and Utah, as well as matters before state and federal administrative agencies. Mr. Ames has taken numerous cases to trial before juries and the bench, and has successfully arbitrated and mediated countless cases.
In addition to his educational degrees set forth below, Mr. Ames grew up in Japan and also attended Oxford Brookes University in England where he studied Anthropology. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoys cycling, downhill skiing, whitewater canoeing, photography and travel. He has been a University instructor for a "Wilderness Survival" course, and also works regularly with the Boy Scouts of America.
